Circomsision verses Brit Mila?

A bris Milah is done on the eigth day after birth. Unlike a hospital circision, it involves a lot of ritual and various prayers are said. Kiddush (sanctification is made), a declaration and blessing is made by the father, a prayer for the health of the baby and the mother (since she is recovering from child birth is said), the baby is given its name. In terms of the actual circision- the mechanics are the same.
