2 year old has bronchitis help?

My 2 year old daughter started off with a cold yesterday and now she has a horrible cough and is having trouble breathing. She has short quick breaths. My wife took her to the doctor and the doc said she has bronchitis and put her on some ventilator thing with medicine for a few minutes then sent her home. I just want to know if anyone has any advice about bronchitis in little kids that might be helpful.
