Urinary tract infection?

hi i would be so greatful for some help. about two months back i had a temp, felt vague, had a little pain in tummy. arthri symptoms in hands neck and feet and felt sick. went to gp told me i had a uti. none of the antibiotics worked. ended up in hospital. however they sent me home. this lasted 3 weeks. ive had 2 weeks with no symptoms, got my life back then all the symptoms started again. i think its a uti i feel so sick i feel debilitated. can anyone tell me if they have such symptoms with a uti please. im seeing the gp next week they think i have an underlining uti which is coming and going. anyone and advice please
