Are Roach Control bait trays harmful to birds?

i bought roach bait trays that i will put in the floor in my kitchen. it contains 2% propoxur and 98% inert ingredients. i have read that propoxur is harmful to birds, animals and even humans, but i'm guessing that's referring to its truest form, and not in a 2% bait tray, but i'm not sure. i know birds have sensitive lungs and i don't know if this will harm him, and if it emits any odor, or odorless chemicals that could harm him (a parakeet). (obviously i know it would if ingested, but thats not what i'm asking, as he will be in his cage while the trays are out). he is in the room next to the kitchen. thanks.
