Do you think this would be appropriate?
So I am doing my English homework. I have to write a paragraph on a theme in "To Kill A Mockingbird". My theme is good and evil coexist and I have to use a quote from the book to support this idea. I was going to use a quote on the first page in Chapter 9 where Scout beats up Cecil Jacobs for insulting her father. I said that it was evil because, obviously, she beat up Cecil, but it was good because she was defending her father. Then I began writing down the quote. I wrote, "Atticus had promised me he would wear me out if he ever heard of me fighting...the sooner I learned to hold in, the better off everybody would be. I soon forgot. Cecil Jacobs made me forget. He had announced in the schoolyard... that Scout Finch's daddy defended *******." I don't know if it is appropriate to use the word "******" in school work. I am not trying to offend anyone right now, it is in the book. I just am skeptical on whether or not to use this quote. I already have all of my work done on it so I don't want to go back and re-do it. What would you do? Thanks in advance!
