I am a Production engineer,How could I practice Mechanical Engineering ?

I am a production engineering Degree holder from R.E.C Tiruchy, at present working in Kuwait ,basicaly mechanical base when I apply for mechanical engg jobs, seeing my degree they hesitate to take up since they does not know about production Engineering Degree related to mechanical engg ,Is there any additional course to enhance my profession with production engg degree,please advice me
