I must ask husband to interact with our newborn?

We have a 6 week old and I feel to get my husband to interact with him for longer than 10 minutes, I have to ask him to do so. The other night, I pumped for him to be able to feed him and I had to ask him if he wanted to feed the baby, his resopnse was sure...couple second pause...I don't give a S**T, his idea of calming the baby is giving him a pacifier and putting him in the swing, rarely changes diapers, sometimes (maybe once every other week), he chooses to go out with his friends after work rather than coming home to see his baby. He's really good with other people's kids.. Last night he lashed out at me because we haven't been sleeping in the same bed, the baby only wants to sleep in his bouncer seat in the living room. He is a CPA, so his days have been very long since the baby was born, could that be what is going on or is he just trying to be macho and not show that he cares-he never shows emotion. (I know that he does care). A man's point of view would be great!!
