I went to court for an old case.?

Hired a lawyer,the charges were dismissed by the court and prosecutor.Dui and a small felony, anyway after court i was expecting to sign or receive some paper proof from the court (chicago).Is this the new age of court procedure? Additionally how long will the paperwork take to go through to the state capitol? I don't know how to feel about this.All i have is my attorneys name and the judges.I did check the docket where my name was listed.
