Is this girl just not interested in being friends? I'm not sure if I should call her bec. I don't want to hurt?

there's this girl I met very briefly and I found her online and we talked to each other...the conversation was even and I had told her "maybe we should hangout if your not too far" and she responded "yeah maybe" then I had asked her for her number to get to know each other and she gave it but didn't say anything else...not sure if I should call...I don't want to call every single girl but I don't have any girl to call besides her to call so it's hard not to when you don't have any other choice...i'm back in town for the summer from college where I no longer have friends...I don't want to get my hopes up
